| I notice that a lot of folks are getting new windows....is this something that most of the homes need? Also, is there a time frame set in stone as to how quickly we have to do things such as paint the exterior etc.? OR is this upgrades that many of you have chosen but are not necessary?
I am curious here in Texas.

| | The existing windows are the slat style and they likely would not seal tightly enough if you install an air conditioner - you'll be cooling the outdoors. Plus the slats might let in insections. So I think most people are replacing them with dual pane windows. |

| Actually, we kept the windows. Unless you live there full time, it's not that big a deal to use a/c with these windows. Sure, they're not as efficient.
